Due to more stringent industry infection control requirements, most hospitals, surgical centers and some biotech companies are now required to only hire sterile processing technicians who are certified. This is driving the increase in demand for certified sterile processing or central services technicians.
If you are looking for a new career, consider becoming a certified sterile processing technician. At Martinson College, you can earn your certification as little as eight
(8) weeks. Our SPT program is CBSPD accredited and will prepare you to take the CSPDT certification exam. This program provides full certification without the 400 hours volunteer work requirement. We also offer the CRCST review classes for those who already have more than 400 hours of SPD related experience. We offer classroom, online and hybrid (online and classroom) courses that are carefully developed around
the ever changing demands of the industry. We also offer externship and clinical site training through our affiliations with major hospitals in the Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego areas.

ReviewCamp Classes are extensive review classroom sessions held on the weekend before the board exams. It will focus on topics to enhance your sterile processing education and exam preparation. The ReviewCamp will also include a practice exam to give you added confidence.
StudentPlus+ Placement Services provides our students externship or on the job training in our affiliated hospitals and healthcare facilities. We are one of the few sterile processing technician schools who offer clinical training placement options to increase our students' chances for employment by "getting their foot" inside the hospital.
